2008 (English)In: Evidence-Based Nursing, ISSN 1367-6539, E-ISSN 1468-9618, Vol. 11, no 1, p. 4-5Article in journal (Refereed) Published
Abstract [en]

The article discusses the importance of applying the results of qualitative research to clinical care. It explains the approaches to evaluating the generalisation of such research. It cites the need for nurses and researchers to improve their understanding of the results and their limitations in order to apply qualitative research findings. The author argues that such findings should be perceived as theories that offer a frame for interpretation that is relevant to patients and clinical practice.
