The purpose of the study is to examine young adults, who have come to Sweden as unaccompanied children, experiences of opportunities and barriers in the Swedish labor market and their vision of community support. Another aim is to examine the young adults' general perception of life in the new country. The study is based on four qualitative interviews. The result shows that all the respondents have started their establishment on the labor market, in various degrees, and generally describes a positive picture of life in Sweden. This is grounded by that they now speak Swedish, completed studies and have a larger social network and more knowledge about Swedish society. The result indicates that the hindering factors for the establishment of the labor market are mainly limitations of already mentioned factors, as well as relevant experience and perceptions of discrimination. Overall, the perception and experience is that contacts are one of the most effective ways to work. They are optimistic about the future as they believe their already positive development in the labor market continues. The result shows that the respondents have a strong will and ambition to achieve their goals. It reveals the desire and need for more support from society specified the target group with a focus on early learning of Swedish, internship opportunities, summer jobs, support at the employment service and good academic guidance. Positive criticism is also indicated that having a contact person is a good step towards establishment on the labor market.
